“My partner and I have about 20 more mugs than we need,” he said, but this one, from his favorite coffee shop, is his go-to. And software engineer Jacob Baker is a fan of East Pole’s From Atlanta mug. Staff writer Katie Okamoto has a mug from Hart’s in Brooklyn, New York. Consider diner mugs from Old City Coffee in Philly Leelanau Coffee in Glen Arbor, Michigan Carolines Coffee Roasters in Grass Valley, California and Café Du Monde in New Orleans. If you can’t get that mug, we have plenty of other suggestions from restaurants and coffee shops. What’s more fun than a diner mug from a pie shop? Bubby’s in New York City offers three designs from doodles sketched by owner Ron Silver, but the Pie for Breakfast mug is our favorite. These are the mugs we’re coveting-the ones worth giving to others (and to yourself), the ones that make us feel good, and the ones that elevate our morning cuppa into an experience. Of the 34 brands mentioned throughout the piece, 20 are currently owned (or were founded) by women and people of color, and we hope to keep adding more from them. But the mugs in this guide are less utilitarian and more near and dear to our hearts. We already have guides to more-practical mugs, including heated mugs, travel mugs, and tumblers (several of our staffers love the 14-ounce Yeti Rambler mug, a version of our 20-ounce Yeti tumbler pick). We set out to recommend 8 to 10 mugs, but in the end our staff gave us nearly 50 suggestions. With the weather turning even more crisp and chilly, we decided to share our favorites, from classic diner styles to beautiful glass vessels to handmade stoneware cups. So it’s not too surprising that we have a lot of opinions about mugs. Tea and coffee are two of our favorite things to talk about at Wirecutter (rivaled only by our other favorite topic: our pets). Organization health care providers (e.g., hospitals, home health agencies, ambulance companies) are considered Entity Type 2 (Organization) providers. Sole proprietors and sole proprietorships are Entity Type 1 (Individual) providers. Entity Type 1 providers are individual providers who render health care (e.g., physicians, dentists, nurses). There are two categories of health care providers for NPI enumeration purposes. Where NPI should be used? : The NPI must be used in place of legacy provider identifiers, such as a Unique Provider Identification Number (UPIN), Online Survey Certification & Reporting (OSCAR) and National Supplier Clearinghouse (NSC) in HIPAA standard transactions. Covered health care providers and all health plans and health care clearinghouses must use the NPIs in the administrative and financial transactions adopted under HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act). The NPI must be used in lieu of legacy provider identifiers in the HIPAA standards transactions. This means that the numbers do not carry other information about healthcare providers, such as the state in which they live or their medical specialty. The NPI is a 10-position, intelligence-free numeric identifier (10-digit number). What is a NPI Number? : The National Provider Identifier (NPI) is a unique identification number for covered health care providers. I hope this will provide a starting point for other people who want to work on adding Wii U support to Dolphin. The files whose formats I can understand, like app.xml or, seem to be working perfectly (which is an especially good sign because those files are actually garbled when you decrypt the entire disc image with OpenSSL, at least on SM3DW). So don't rely on files being 100% accurate. Which means there is probably also a bug which corrupts some of the contents of other files where that happens. There is a bug with at least 3 of the file names on SM3DW, where the names are not read correctly, which I believe is caused by the filenames being split across the cluster boundary. The source code is here on github (requires Visual Studio 2013, or if you are on linux you may need to modify the build system to include the extra files in the DiscIO module): Don't ask me how to rip your games from your WiiU, because I don't know, but some people seem to manage it.Ĭurrently this is only useful for hackers who want to examine the update partition (I heard some exploit authors wanted binaries), or collectors who want to show off their list of games, or people who are curious what's on those discs, or people who want to work on emulating the Wii U. It can only find the partitions and read the file system for games where the title key has been released. Also it lets you open RPX files, although they don't load correctly. I started adding Wii U support to the Dolphin emulator.Ĭurrently it can recognize your Wii U games (in addition to your GameCube and Wii games) in either WUD or ISO format, recognize what region it is, what size it is, get the game ID, and most importantly read the file system and extract files for all partitions except the game partition. Terraria are currently playable on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Android, and IOS. Many cross-play games will allow connectivity between consoles such as Xbox, PlayStation, and in some cases like Overwatch, even the Nintendo Switch. However, the cross-platform play works a bit differently in Terraria. But how can you play multiplayer in Terraria? What is Cross-platform Play?Ĭross-platform play allows people to connect to a game from different hardware, e.g., enabling PC users to play with Xbox users. There has never been a more significant time to pick the game up with some friends. According to Steam Charts, the game has continued to stay relevant in the online gaming community, attracting tens of thousands of players every month. Re-Logic released Terraria’s last update in 2020 on Terraria’s 9th anniversary named the Journey’s End. If you want to complete the game, you’ll have to defeat numerous Cthulu-inspired bosses. Terraria aren’t just about survival, though. Terraria can be played solo, but you’ll have more success playing the game in multiplayer, especially when playing more complex difficulties such as a Hardcore mode that includes character perma-death. The combination of quality and support that Re-Logic has given to Terraria has contributed to the game’s longevity. Released in 2011, as of April 2020, the game has sold 14 million copies worldwide. But, fans have created dedicated cross-play servers to support interconnectivity between the two platforms.Terraria is an open-world 2D survival game created by indie development team Re-Logic. Now, there is a way to get cross-platform play between PC and mobile users. There are no online-based infrastructures locked behind a paywall to get in the way of connectivity. I guess why this version of the game is so easily adapted to cross-platform play is that Terraria uses your system as a dedicated server, using the power of cellular and wifi connectivity. Android users and ios players can play together by selecting the “multiplayer” option in the main menu. The mobile realm is the only place where you can play Terraria cross-platform without having to mod your game. It has become one of the most enormous gaming markets, and Terraria is no stranger to the cross-platform capabilities of the Android and ios based systems. Mobile gaming has become a massive industry since the rise of the touch screen based smartphone. Same controls, same online infrastructure within Xbox Live, you’re good to go! However if you wanted to connect your Xbox to a friends Playstation, due to the different online infastructure and controls, this would not be possible. So if you are playing on an Xbox 360 and want to play with friends on an Xbox Series X, that’s totally fine!Īll the parameters are met. This only allows online play between consoles with the same online infrastructure. This limits the server’s capabilities to the console you are playing on, in turn making your console the active server as opposed to an external server base. Terraria uses its own internal servers embedded into every copy of the game you purchase. This would make it extremely difficult for someone playing on their Playstation Vita to interact with a mouse and keyboard user.īecause of the hardware limitations of each system, this may place a limit on the server capabilities. There is no consistent set up between all systems, from keyboard to touch screen to controller. In terms of hardware, it is easy to see why Terraria cannot make the jump to cross-platform play. In Terraria’s case, I’ve seen many reasons why cross-play isn’t possible, but the most concrete examples I’ve seen are the controls and possibly the servers used by each console. Many games cannot allow players to play together if they are not on the same platform because of the physical hardware or network limitations. It seems like an easy fix, right? Especially for a game like Terraria that has been on every platform imaginable for over a decade, but it’s not as simple as it seems. This doesn’t mean that you’ll be able to play Halo on your PS5, but it will allow the online modes of most major cross-platform AAA games to be played across all platforms. The video game industry is seeing a rise in the want for cross-platform accessibility. Playing with a friend on Xbox while you play on Playstation, for example. What is Cross-Play or Cross-Platform Play?Ĭross-play is the ability to play between consoles on different online infrastructures. The only way to play cross-play with friends is to use the mobile versions on ios or Android. 11 years after its release, Terrariadoes not allow cross-platform play between any powerful consoles on the market. Terraria’s cross-play capabilities are slim at best. Indies With Great Accessibility Features. If the piece is a duet, too bad - the system has no concept of how to deal with TWO artists on the same song. For a record of Rachmaninoff concertos played by Vladimir Ashkenazi with the London Symphony Orchestra, the “Artist” tag could be “Sergei Rachmaninoff”, “London Symphony Orchestra” or “Vladimir Ashkenazi”. Allegro moderato ma non troppo con carne ma senza spaghetti”. Some of the track names are ridiculously long: “Variations on a theme by Haydn, for piano four hands (also arranged for orchestra) BZ 153.4 3. It has no idea that the 23 tracks that make up Rachmaninoff’s “Variations on a theme by Paganini” are one piece, distinct from the 3 tracks that make up Rachmaninoff’s “Piano Concerto number 2” on the same album.Īn advantage of Sonata Server is that it automatically tags tracks as you rip them by going out to 4 different online databases. Like every other system, it has only three levels of hierarchy: artist, album and track. I’ve got Sonata Server (which DOES require a PC) and it’s probably the best for classical music, but it’s still a far distance from being any good at all for classical music. I have been doing this for a few years now. The system is super simple, nearly bombproof, and sounds great. but if your friend has internet (I’m sure she does) then she gets access to all the internet radio stations too. On the other hand, the box itself has a display and interface, which seems better than the Sonos, which requires an external controller of some sort (dedicated remote, PC, tablet, or smartphone).ĭoes anyone have a better idea? I’m kind of surprised that there aren’t more options for a person who does not have a home NAS or always-on PC. It seems a little more cumbersome than the Sonos because there is no built-in amplifier (and she has no legacy stereo system). The Logitech site says that multiple Squeezeboxes can talk to each other. This says that it has a USB port and can access music or photos from a USB drive. My next idea was the Logitech Squeezebox Touch. So then I thought “Wouldn’t it be nice if you could plus a USB drive into the Sonos?” But you can’t. It also seems a little wasteful of Internet bandwidth when her entire music collection could probably fit on a 64 GB USB flash drive (and I wonder if Google Music would support high quality 320 kbps streams?). That doesn’t work, though, because the Sonos does not support Google Music. My next idea was to have her CDs ripped, then push them all up to Google Music so that they could be streamed back down to the Sonos. She does everything with her laptop (running Windows XP! (but her company will presumably eventually upgrade to a newer version of Windows)), including listen to Rhapsody (subscription digital music service). My friend does not own a desktop computer, a home NAS box, or even a high-capacity MP3 player. Normally I recommend Sonos, but to play one’s personal music library it requires a home server. As the author of an article on whole-house music systems, I thought that I would be the perfect person to give advice to a friend who has recently moved into a new apartment and wants to declutter by sending her CDs off to be ripped. The service has good enough speeds and the interface is well designed and easy to use. This is especially true for the average user who just wants to maintain their privacy and security while browsing online. Is CyberGhost VPN worth it?ĬyberGhost is, as always, a top-notch VPN. When signing up for CyberGhost you’ll need to supply an email address and password, and payment is accepted via credit card, GPay, PayPal, or Bitcoin. We always like to see a company that takes steps like this to increase transparency and foster trust among its user base. To further back up its claim of privacy, CyberGhost had its no-logs policy confirmed via an audit by Deloitte in September of 2022. The company says it uses this information to maintain its service and none of the data collected contains personally identifying features. CyberGhost says this information is sent to a third-party who collects the information in aggregate. It does, however, collect data on connection attempts including the time they happened, country of origin, and the CyberGhost software version. It also says it doesn’t store connection logs or timestamps, your IP address, or session durations. Right at the top the company says it doesn’t track browsing history or traffic. During our testing, CyberGhost’s kill switch triggered successfully when the VPN lost connection.Īs for privacy, CyberGhost lays it all out in its privacy policy. It’s a nice feature to have to ensure your actual address is never revealed should there be VPN issues. IKEv2, for example, has wide compatibility and is generally a good option should you want to use CyberGhost on your mobile device as well.Īs mentioned previously, there is also the option to turn on an automatic kill switch, which will sever your connection to the internet should your VPN drop out for any reason. IKEv2 and OpenVPN protocols are older, but still have their uses. WireGuard will likely be your best bet in most circumstances as it’s newer and generally known to be faster and more secure. It also provides WireGuard, IKEv2, and OpenVPN protocols. Across all locations tested, the speeds averaged just over 47 percent of the base download speed and a much more impressive 95 percent of the base upload speed.ĬyberGhost VPN’s privacy and security features.ĬyberGhost uses the industry-standard AES 256-bit encryption, which is currently uncrackable, so you can rest assured that your connections will be safe. CyberGhost server speeds were pretty good, although it didn’t fall into our top five fastest VPNs. How is CyberGhost VPN’s performance?ĭuring our testing we rated connection speeds across CyberGhost’s servers in five different countries all around the world and then compared them to our baseline internet speed. The abundance of choice here means you have more options to choose servers that suit your needs whether that be location or speed or something else. While this may seem like a minor detail, some other VPN providers bury this pertinent information deep down in the settings or side menus. All of this information is displayed in a very clear and tidy manner. While connected to any of its servers, you’re able to clearly see the server’s IP address and location, data downloaded and uploaded while connected, the protocol being used, and the time duration of the connection. That’s more than pretty much any of the other top VPN companies. It offers a dizzying number of server locations-more than 9,000. When you choose an option from the server tabs, you’ll find a list of all the servers available, which you can sort alphabetically by name, distance from your home IP address, and any favorite servers you’ve chosen. Things such as double-VPN, multi-hop connections, and traffic routing through the Tor anonymization network are offered by competitors but lacking with CyberGhost. These are all handy, but other top VPN providers such as NordVPN and ProtonVPN offer even more features which can be considerably useful. Here you can set launch rules for the app, whitelist certain websites so they bypass the VPN, and also choose if you would like the VPN to automatically connect when you open a specific desktop app. While the service doesn’t offer a wide variety of tools for power users, the Smart rules section does offer a few areas to tweak. CyberGhost VPN offers a few, but not a lot, of options for power users to tweak the VPN. Enemies called ferals roam under the cover of night and will be on the prowl for you when you decide to take an evening stroll. However, nighttime is far more challenging. Going anywhere in Darkness Falls is a precarious endeavor. These appear next to your hotkey bar and will help you keep track of your levels. Survival is at the forefront of 7 Days to Die and this mod hasn’t forgotten about its importance. As a way to give you a better quality of life, too, the mod has a 12-slot crafting queue so you can line up your jobs and get more done. So, it gives you a much larger 96-slot backpack to lug stuff around. It’s not an incredibly rewarding class on its own but in multiplayer you’ll be glad you had one, especially because of the tools it gets early on.ĭarkness Falls is well aware that you like to hoard stuff. Its Mastery leads to recipes for powerful titanium armor and a titanium spiked club.įinally, the Survivalist class focuses on survival elements that can keep a group from dying by the elements. It has several perks that allow it to soak up damage and manage large hordes of enemies so in some ways it’s like a tank class. The Security class deals with heavy weapons and solid armor. Definitely, a class to support a multiplayer endeavor. Pretty much all of the recipes you get from mastering it are for making antibiotics, painkillers, and other prescription stuff. The Scientist class specializes in medication and keeping himself and your crew free from ailments. Among its mastery recipes, you learn how to make engines that lead to a 4×4 truck and a motorbike. The Mechanic class focuses primarily on salvaging and engineering stuff, including vehicles. By mastering it, you’ll gain access to recipes for titanium structures and tools, the strongest in the game. The Laborer class is all about forging and crafting, so its rewards match what’s written on the tin. However, it’s the class that gains a fair bit of firepower as you progress through its quests. The Hunter class is a bit lighter on the Mastery recipes front with only a few weapon blueprints on offer. By completing its Mastery path, you can get a bunch of recipes that’ll enhance your farming potential. The Farmer gains access to the mighty Blunderbuss after completing its fifth quest. It has no Mastery and the items you get are all super basic. The Civilian class is as close to a blank slate-type character as you can get, and is probably the toughest way to play Darkness Falls. Apart from one, each class can unlock Mastery perks that lead to unique recipes. To progress each class, you need to complete a series of six quests that reward you with skill points, items, and gear. Each of the eight character types you can make has its own perks and items that are unique and non-transferable unless playing with others. One of the most obvious features this mod brings to the table is a class system. Darkness Falls FeaturesĪs with any overhaul mod, it’s all about the extra mechanics, items, and systems, and Darkness Falls packs a punch in that department. WotW wants to give you all the options under the sun. Compared to War of the Walkers, for instance, it’s like polar opposites in terms of difficulty. It turns 7D2D into a more hardcore game that’ll chew you up and spit you out more ways than you can count, and then some. However, this mod goes beyond simple additions. And, to a degree, that’s pretty accurate. Some new zombies here, new mechanics there. On the surface, Darkness Falls looks like most other overhaul mods. Finally, general exploration is far more dangerous, both during the day and at night. Some crafts are also locked behind particular classes and perks so your decisions from the get-go matter that much more. It achieves this by extending the early game longer. In a nutshell, Darkness Falls aims to make the player more reliant on strategizing and planning. What this mod adds to the mix, though, are elements that make the game more challenging. You’re building up your base, exploring and gathering resources, crafting tools and weapons, and slaying hordes of zombies.
